The school organised the ‘Graduation Ceremony’ for its pre-primary wing on its premises. Dr Darpan Ahluwalia, SSP, Khanna, was the chief guest. In her address, Dr Ahluwalia emphasised that children learn by observing adults, urging parents and teachers to model values like patience, empathy, and responsibility. The importance of reading habits and staying connected to one’s culture and mother tongue was highlighted. The message concluded with best wishes for the students and a reminder to take pride in their roots while aiming high for the future. The programme began with a welcome song presented by nursery students, followed by engaging performances, including rhymes on social responsibility by Devanshi Gautam, “Tiny Feet, Giant Dreams”, role play on the theme of ‘Social Responsibilities’ and vibrant dance presentations by Prep students. Kiyansh Garg, Lakshita and Christy Moudgil added a personal touch with their heartfelt presentations. DS Bains, Chairman, DPSK, congratulated the parents and students on the occasion. He welcomed Dr Darpan and lauded her for her brilliant career as a police officer. He added that she is the best role model for young children. The Chairman exhorted the parents to limit the screen time of their kids, as it is being realised worldwide that social media is addictive and also the initiator of bullying, which creates depression, especially among girls. Towards this prevention, the Government of Australia has banned social media for teenagers and over 10 European countries are actively considering a ban on social media. The best example for children are parents. They must limit TV viewing and also check their own use of social media. He advised the children to study hard, as the fun they had in the pre-primary is over. Now they have to study languages, mathematics, and science in the upcoming classes. They have to appear in the exams as well. Bains expressed his confidence that the young learners will grow into responsible citizens of India, which is the ultimate goal of the school. The highlight of the event was the Scroll Ceremony, where young graduates clad in the robes and mortarboard hats were awarded their scrolls. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the officiating Principal Mamta Ghai, leaving everyone with joyful memories.
