Deonar Police Register Case Against Two Former BMC Medical Health Officers For Birth Certificate Irregularities

Deonar police have registered a case against two former BMC medical health officers for allegedly clearing suspicious birth registrations in M-East Ward without proper verification. A departmental probe found six dubious home births and nine hospital entries approved in 2024, and three more in 2025, allegedly violating the Registration of Births and Deaths Act. Investigation is underway.
