Maharashtra has approved a ₹12,303 crore MAGESTIC project to raise renewable energy share from 17% to 50% by 2030. The plan includes grid upgrades, 40 substations, and 16,000 MWh battery storage systems. Around 70% funding will come via World Bank loans, with implementation over five years to strengthen clean energy capacity.
