The BMC is upgrading Mumbai’s 100-year-old stormwater drains using trenchless geopolymer lining technology to extend lifespan by 50 years and improve drainage efficiency. The project aims to reduce waterlogging amid extreme rainfall, with Phase 1 covering 27 drains over 14 km.
