NCERT Introduces Emergency Chapter In Class 9 Social Science Books Under NEP 2020

NCERT has added a new chapter on the 1975–77 Emergency to Class 9 Social Science under NEP 2020, shifting key political history content from Class 12 to the new textbook ‘Understanding Society: India and Beyond’ to deepen students’ understanding of constitutional values and democracy.
