The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, approved Rs 1,718.56 crore MSP funding for cotton farmers for 2023-24, reports say. The move aims to stabilise cotton prices, prevent distress sales, and ensure remunerative returns. PM Modi said the government is leaving no stone unturned to ease farmers’ lives nationwide.
