The Centre has temporarily restricted Telegram in India ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination after the NTA flagged fake question paper scams and misinformation on the platform. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh said the move was necessary to protect the interests and morale of more than 22 lakh students appearing for the exam.
